On Friday, April 5th I turned 34 years young. I swear the more I experience life, the more I remember how old my soul really is.
For that and more I am thankful. Thankful to be awake + aware. Thankful for my pure magical existence. Thankful to be a dope ass embodiment of God. A whole Goddess. The ultimate creation. Imagine that!
Shout out to my fellow Aries. Hope you enjoyed every minute of our season!

Lowkey Birthday
I really didn't have major plans this year as my bday rolled around fairly quickly but it all came together better than I could have expected.
Emmelie came to visit and we spent the whole day at the spa. It was glorious. The following day, we had a fab brunch in DC and then I dropped her off at the airport and came home to watch Girlfriend reruns while eating donuts from a local shop I love. What more could I ask for?
Dear friends showered me with so much love through out it all. The whole weekend was a beautiful reminder of the power of surrender.
Birthday Tarot Spread
Spending intentional time with my spirit guides and ancestors is one of my favorite ways to begin my birthday every year and this year was no different.
I woke up early and made some cafecito for my altar and some tea for me. I spent time dressing a birthday prayer candle for myself with my favorite herbs and conditioning oils.
I lit the candle and gave thanks to the ancestors for their sacrifices and resilience. I prayed in gratitude to spirit and my guides for the ways they constantly remind that I am so, so loved and always taken care of. I thanked myself for my commitment to my soul curriculum, no matter how hard things may get.
Then I did a birthday tarot spread that was so good I had just have to share it with you all. Feel free to do this for your birthday with your favorite tarot or oracle deck. Document it in journal so you can reference back to it throughout the year. Enjoy!
Tech for Brujas
Speaking of tarot... a functional and aesthetically pleasing virtual tarot reading platfrom?! Yes, please!
โMoonlight is pretty much Zoom for tarot. Create an account and start your very own "tarot room" solo or send your link to friends and have them join. You can pull cards for free and access a little guidebook with more info on the archetypes and what each card stands for. If you get bored of the standard decks, you can buy decks from the site to add to your virtual collection as well.
IMO, building a relationship with your own physical deck and infusing it with your ashe is a must, but I really love the idea of having access to tarot anytime, anyplace even when you don't have your deck on you.
The platform also has a pretty diverse directory of professional tarot readers that you can book for readings. Overall, I think this is brilliant and fun. I can't wait to see what other cool tech for brujas emerges over time.

Cannabis + Breathwork Ceremony
Cannabis is a plant spirit ally I hold very near and dear to my heart. I really appreciate the higher perspective (pun intended) her medicine offers me. My current relationship with this plant is one of conscious consumption which means that intention and reverence plays a major role in how I relate to her.
With that being said, I recently attended Exhale, a Cannabis and Breathwork Journey for the BIPOC Community and it was such a beautiful experience.
As someone who has been facilitating events for years, it felt so good to be present in community in a dope event as an attendee. The downloads were strong and I was reminded of the duality of knowing when to be present for myself within my intention to be present in community. It was a literal dream event and the perfect way to close out my birthday season.
